Borja Ortiz de Gondra imagines the friendship between Pablo Picasso and his barber Eugenio Arias in 1950s Vallauris, where both men lived with the memory of a Spain left behind. Chiqui Carabante’s production uses humour, political disagreement, art and everyday conversation to explore republican exile, identity and the contradictions of two very different personalities linked by affection and shared history.
