About This Event

The XXVII Isla de Lobos–Fuerteventura Open-Water Swim is a 3,500-metre crossing from the waters near Punta Marrajo on Isla de Lobos to the sports-harbour ramp in Corralejo, subject to safety and weather conditions. It forms part of the IX Canary Islands Open-Water Cup and IV Canary Islands Open-Water Circuit. Participants must report to the boarding area at 11:00 for transport to the start, and the race is scheduled to begin at 12:00 on Sunday 18 October 2026. The maximum permitted time in the water is 120 minutes, giving a 14:00 race-control closure. Entry costs €55, with 10% of proceeds donated to the Spanish Association Against Cancer. The event is open to federated and non-federated swimmers aged 15 or over, subject to the additional authorization and club-certificate requirements for minors. A swim buoy, official cap and ankle timing chip are compulsory. The race is limited to 300 participants and registration is already sold out.
