The Plaza del Mercado welcomes the La Matanza de Acentejo Craft Fair on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September. Open from 10:00 to 19:00 on both days, the fair brings together tradition, creativity and handmade products in a relaxed community setting. It is an inviting weekend plan for anyone who enjoys local craftsmanship and meeting the people behind each creation.

The programme adds hands-on workshops, demonstrations and live music to the craft stalls. Saturday’s activities include workshops on almogrote and mojo sauces, handmade soap and candles made with recycled containers, followed by a performance from A.F. Son Más de Tres. Sunday features workshops on traditional frangollo, resin jewellery and floral arrangements, as well as a Canary Islands stick-fighting demonstration. Come with family or friends, browse original work and enjoy two days devoted to local skills and traditions.
