An open-water swimming event through the turquoise waters of southern Lanzarote, with the principal route beginning off the Papagayo coves and finishing at Playa Dorada.

The 4.5 km swimmers are transferred by boat to the water start. The programme also includes a 1,200 m route and age-group distances for younger swimmers.
