The traditional El Pilar pilgrimage brings Canarian dress, folk groups and neighbourhood associations through the streets of Guanarteme.

The procession leaves Calle Pavía and travels through the district to Plaza del Pilar, where the offering to Our Lady of El Pilar is accompanied by Parranda La Polvajera. A street party, the night parade of the papagüevos and fireworks at Las Canteras complete the evening.
