The Basílica de Nuestra Señora de Candelaria hosts a solemn Eucharist commemorating the bicentenary of the 1826 flood, presided over by the Bishop of the Diocese of Tenerife, Mons. Eloy Alberto Santiago Santiago.

The service is followed by an extraordinary procession of the Virgin of Candelaria. This religious commemoration forms part of the wider municipal programme exploring the flood’s historical, cultural and devotional legacy.
