La Heredera, a production by Habemus Teatro, takes the audience back to the eighteenth century through the story of Ana Josefa, niece and heir of the Canarian merchant and corsair Amaro Pargo. Family secrets, intrigue and an inheritance provide the thread of this theatrical journey into the lives of the Tejera and Machado family.

History brought to life

Seven performers combine theatre, humour, music and dance, with period costumes and different theatrical styles. The staging also revives the historic dance El Canario, bringing local heritage into the performance rather than presenting it as a conventional history talk.

The audience joins the theatrical route from the church entrance. Admission is free.
